F1 Reveals a 2027 Calendar With Portugal, Turkey and Ten Sprints

Formula 1 already has a roadmap for 2027. The World Motor Sport Council has approved a calendar that maintains the 24 rounds of recent seasons but introduces significant changes that point to greater competitiveness and a strategic expansion of the championship, the big novelty is the increase in Sprint events, which go from six to ten, a decision backed by audience and fan satisfaction data.
Preseason testing will be held in Bahrain from February 24 to 27 and the Arab country will also host the first race of the year, followed by Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan and China, before crossing the Atlantic for the Miami and Canada rounds. The European tour will start in June with the return of Portugal after Monaco, while Turkey will return to the calendar in October, between Azerbaijan and Singapore. The final stretch will include Austin, Mexico, São Paulo and Las Vegas before closing in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
