The Detroit Lions ruled Miller and left guard Christian Mahogany out for Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, leaving them down essentially three starters on the offensive line.

Mahogany injured his hip on the second offensive series of last week’s win over the New Orleans Saints, while Miller suffered a knee injury he said he didn’t realize the extent of until after the game.

Ben Bartch should start at left guard after playing most of the game at the position against the Saints. Larry Borom is next in line at right tackle.

The Lions already are without starting center Cade Mays until next month due to a broken wrist. Juice Scruggs is starting in Mays’ place.

Starting cornerback D.J. Reed also is questionable to play Thursday with a foot injury after he was added to the injury report Tuesday, Sept. 15.
