Barcelona’s Camp Nou to host 2029 Champions League final

Barcelona’s iconic Camp Nou stadium has been officially selected to host the men’s Champions League final in 2029.
The decision has been announced by UEFA and means that Barcelona’s home will host the showpiece event for the first time since in exactly 30 years.

It’s also been confirmed that Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena will host the final in 2028 before the action switches to Catalunya the following year. This year’s final will take place at Atletico Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium.

Barcelona’s stadium has been undergoing renovation work which is still not yet quite complete. The third tier is still yet to be finished and Barcelona are also set to install a roof.
The current estimate is that the renovation work will finally be completed in 2027 and the completed stadium will have a capacity of 105,000 fans.
The women’s Champions League finals will be held at the Parc Olympic Lyonnais in 2028 and the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff in 2029.
