Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has not ruled out the possibility of the club making further signings before the transfer window closes.

Amakhosi have already brought in Renaldo Leaner, Thabo Moloisane, Adolf Mtasingwa, Faiz Abrahams and Langelihle Phili during the current transfer window. Khanyisa Mayo, who joined the club on loan last season, has also been signed on a permanent deal.

After six matches in the Betway Premiership, Chiefs currently sit fourth on the league table.

Despite the club’s activity in the transfer market, Da Cruz says he is satisfied with the squad at his disposal. However, the French coach remains open to strengthening his team if the right player becomes available.

Kaizer Chiefs signed six players this transfer window

“If a player is going to arrive, I think I would take the opportunity, but I don’t want to take a player just to take him. If it is to take someone, it is someone that will be useful,” Da Cruz said.

“For the moment, I am very happy with the squad that we have. We are moving forward; we are disappointed with the result.

“But we are on the right path in terms of the quality of the game, in terms of the modelling of the game, in terms of what we want to show. We must continue, we must not give up.”

With only a few days remaining before the transfer window closes, Chiefs could still make a surprise addition to their squad.

The left-back and attacking midfield positions appear to be areas where Amakhosi could use more depth and quality, potentially making one or two late additions possible before the deadline.
