New York Giants star Malik Nabers had concerns about returning to the field in Week 1, but John Harbaugh helped his receiver in a big way.

Nabers made his return to an NFL field for the first time since suffering an ACL and meniscus injury last season. However, the Giants standout WR certainly had some skepticism about making his comeback on Sunday Night Football.
Reports leading into the game put Nabers’ status up in the air. However, the new Giants head coach helped ease any concerns with one significant and unique gesture.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart confirmed that Harbaugh tackled Nabers prior to the game. It’s certainly unconventional strategy, but there was a method to the longtime NFL coach’s madness.

However, arguably the most important outcome of SNF was Nabers’ ability to show off his talent again.
Harbaugh’s pregame tackling drill certainly set the tone for the night for Nabers after hauling in six catches and totaling 69 receiving yards.

“All of a sudden, (Malik) goes down on the ground,” Dart told reporters postgame. “So we all turn to look—and it’s Coach Harbs tackling Malik. Then he pops up and goes, ‘See, you’re all good.’”

New York is certainly a dangerous team in the NFC with their offensive weapons fully healthy. Dart, Nabers and Isaiah Likely boast a dynamic trio in the passing attack, while Cam Skattebo adds rushing prowess as well.
The Giants return to the field for Week 2 action on Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams.
