Jaylen Waddle Fantasy Week 1 Start or Sit: A WR2 in All Formats
· Yahoo Sports
Waddle’s Denver debut comes on Monday night in Kansas City, and he arrives 16th among wide receivers in PFN’s Week 1 rankings. This isn’t a favorable matchup, and we don’t know the exact role yet. I will not be waiting on the sidelines; he’s a WR2 for me in all formats.

Should You Start or Sit Jaylen Waddle in Week 1?
Courtland Sutton scored in three games last September, and there’s a chance they default to the comfortable option, but I’m reading it a different way.
Sean Payton and Bo Nix prioritized their top option in valuable spots to open last season, and I think we see more of the same in 2026, just with a different jersey number filling that role.

Everything in the Waddle profile points to him being the type of versatile weapon that should be the first look on plays with regularity. Miami obviously didn’t have much offensive success last season, but through three games, Waddle caught 14 of 17 targets: that tells me that, within scheme, this is a player who can get open in a phone booth.
You can proceed with caution if you like; this isn’t a favorable matchup, and we don’t know the exact role. I will not be waiting on the sidelines. Waddle is a WR2 for me in all formats and could swing matchups in the final game of Week 1.
