Stephen Jackson pitches blockbuster idea to send Stephen Curry to the Spurs

Stephen Jackson has floated a blockbuster idea that would send Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry to the San Antonio Spurs, believing the move could give the veteran guard another chance to compete for a championship.
Jackson questioned whether the current Warriors roster is capable of contending before suggesting San Antonio as an ideal destination for the four-time NBA champion.

Golden State has spent much of the offseason reshaping its roster, but the franchise has not landed one of the major stars it was linked with, while Curry’s future has increasingly become part of the wider conversation around the team’s direction.

Speaking on the All The Smoke podcast, Jackson was asked whether he believed the Warriors could compete for a title with their current group.
His answer was brief before he put forward San Antonio as a potential destination for Curry.
“San Antonio for me,” Jackson said on the podcast. “You got De’Aaron Fox, they can package one of those, and I ain’t even talking about Harper, or Castle, they got 2 big draft picks this year, so they did well in the draft. So they got the pieces to move for a Steph with De’Aaron Fox, I think that would be great.”
The proposal would create a fascinating pairing between Curry and Victor Wembanyama, while also giving San Antonio another established star alongside its young core.
Jackson’s idea comes as the Warriors face difficult questions about what comes next. Team owner Joe Lacob has reportedly already been thinking about building the franchise beyond the Curry era, although Golden State remains prepared to offer its franchise star a contract extension.

For San Antonio, adding Curry would instantly raise the team’s championship ambitions. His shooting alongside Wembanyama would also give the Spurs an entirely different look in the Western Conference.
For now, Jackson’s proposal remains just that, an idea. But with Curry’s next chapter becoming a bigger talking point, blockbuster suggestions involving the Warriors icon are unlikely to disappear anytime soon.
