Gladstone evaluates Travis Hunter's play in Jaguars training camp

On Tuesday, Jacksonville Jaguars' GM James Gladstone looked back on Travis Hunter's performance during training camp.
Through the early to middle portions of camp, Hunter was seeing regular work on both offense and defense, although more snaps were coming at cornerback. However, over the last week-plus, nearly every 11-on-11 rep was coming on defense.

"I think from Travis's perspective," Gladstone began, "I think that's a great work in progress, knowing that he's put a lot more focus on the defensive side down the back end of training camp stretch and still getting his plays on offense, but really settling in so that that defensive backfield can have the continuity that it needs."
Hunter's cornerback usage down the stretch certainly looks like the Jaguars were getting him ready for a defensive-heavy role in Week 1. That, of course, doesn't come as a surprise. The assumption this offseason has been that Hunter will be one of the Jaguars' starting cornerbacks.
That said, this doesn't mean we won't see him at wide receiver at all. But what that workload looks like still remains to be seen. Weekly matchups and in-game situations could dictate Hunter's snaps on offense.
