Former Nebraska wide receiver cut by Philadelphia Eagles

A former Nebraska wide receiver has been cut following the preseason. Samori Toure was released by the Philadelphia Eagles after signing with the Eagles this past offseason.

Toure had only two receptions for 13 yards in three preseason games. The receiver played at Nebraska for only one season. In 2021, Toure had 46 catches for 898 yards and five touchdowns.

Toure was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection by the media. Before coming to Nebraska, Toure had played at FCS Montana, where he set numerous school records.

He was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 258th pick by the Green Bay Packers. Toure has also played for the Chicago BearsDenver Broncos and New Orleans Saints.

Toure has appeared in 23 games with two starts for his NFL career. He has 14 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown.
