Chelsea and Aston Villa have conducted multiple deals during the current transfer window, with Morgan Rogers leaving Aston Villa for Chelsea in a £117m record deal.
Emi Martinez has since followed Rogers from Villa Park to Stamford Bridge, while Aston Villa have brought both Alejandro Garnacho and Nicolas Jackson in the opposite direction.
Despite those deals, Emery has refused the suggestion that the two clubs have a ‘good relationship’. He said it is strictly business between the clubs and said Chelsea are keen to ‘kill’ Aston Villa with their recruitment of the club’s top talents.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s clash with Arsenal, Emery said: “It is not a good relationship. It is a deal for money and players, and they will want to kill us.
“They are signing Morgan and Emiliano Martinez to kill us. Of course, I am happy for the players. I am happy for Martinez, and I am happy for Morgan Rogers. But I am not happy for Chelsea.”
