(KTAL/KMSS) — With one preseason game remaining, Marshall native Tahj Washington has a new home.

The Philadelphia Eagles waived WR Brandon Hayes and signed Washington. Washington was waived by the Dolphins earlier in the week.
Marshall alum Savion Williams drafted by Green Bay PackersA seventh-round draft pick by Miami in 2024, Washington missed his rookie season due to a torn ACL. He returned to action in the 2025 season, recording three catches on five targets for 37 yards in his six regular-season games.
The move to Philadelphia puts Washington in a receiver's room with DeVonta Smith, Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore, Darius Cooper, Britain Covey, Quez Watkins, Danny Gray, Samori Toure, and Erik Ezukanma.
NFL stars from East Texas, NW Louisiana shine on the fieldWashington was a standout receiver in high school as a Marshall Maverick before earning freshman All-American as a Memphis Tiger. From Memphis, he transferred to the University of Southern California (USC) and accumulated 163 catches and 2449 yards in three seasons as a Trojan.
