Fairfield Union girls’ soccer coach Casey Bischof, now in his 13th season at Fairfield Union, picked up his 200th career win after the Falcons defeated Tri-Valley 3-2 in a nonconference game.
Peyton Hughes, Maddi Mitchell, and Makayla Rawlins scored goals for the Falcons, while Aurelia Picketts and Mitchell each had one assist. Sadie Schultz finished with five saves.

SOCCER
Bloom-Carroll 10, Athens 0: The Bulldogs cruised in their nonconference win over Athens. Five different players scored goals, led by two goals each from Mackenzie Haslett, Emily Smith, and Anna Sheehan. Stella Haughn and Sophia Roy added one goal each. Madelyn Storts finished with three saves, and Paisley Lotte had two saves.
Fairfield Union 2, Philo 0: Bailey Osborn and Maddi Mitchell scored one goal each, and Lexi Bennett had an assist. Sadie Schultz finished with two saves.
Lancaster 4, Athens 0: Maddi Griffin scored two goals to lead the way. Lylah Bernthold and Carly Baer also scored one goal each. Brooke Derringer, Jaslyn Gatwood and Baer added one assist each. Kara Mitchell finished with two saves.
Fairfield Union 1, Pickerington Central 1: Kyla Gasser scored the lone goal on an assist by Lexi Bennett. Sadie Schultz had three saves.
Lancaster 2, Fairfield Union 1: The Lady Gales pulled out a nonconference win over the Falcons. Carly Baer scored on a penalty kick and Ava Van Meter had an unassisted goal. Jara Mitchell finished with seven saves.
Kyla Gasser scored the Falcons’ goal on a penalty kick and Sadie Schultz had 14 saves.
GOLF
Lancaster boys golf results: Gales shot a 351 to come in 22nd out of 25 in the St. Francis DeSales Invite held at Chapel Hill GC. The Gales were led by Ben Richardson, who shot an 84. Cole Green shot an 85, Andrew Carpico a 90, Jackson Cluse a 92 and Noah Witt a 100.
The Gales shot a season-low 331 to finish 18th out of 23 teams at the OCC Shootout at Eagle Sticks GC. Cole Green led the Gales with a career low of 80. Jackson Cluse and Ben Richardson both shot 83. Andrew Carpico shot an 85 and Noah Witt shot a 92.
The Gales were in the Teays Valley Invite at The Players Club at Foxfire and shot 370 to finish 16th of 19. Leading the Gales was Ben Richardson with an 85. Andrew Carpico shot 91, Cole Green and Jackson Cluse shot 97, Noah Witt shot 100 and Nolan Blake 129.
The Gales finished in 4th out of 8 teams at the OCC-Buckeye held at Turnberry GC, shooting a 333. Leading the Gales were Andrew Carpico and Ben Richardson, who both shot 80s. Cole Green shot 86, Jackson Cluse shot 87 and Noah Witt shot 88.
The Gales started their season off finishing 17th out of 20 in the Pickerington Central Invite at Turnberry GC, shooting a 368. Gales were led by Sophomore Andrew Carpico with a 90. Sophomore Cole Green shot 92, Freshman Noah Witt and Senior Ben Richardson shot 93s, Senior Jackson Cluse shot 101 and Senior Nolan Blake shot 115.
Bloom-Carroll places first: The Bulldogs (325) finished in first place during the Mid-State League-Buckeye Division match. They were followed by Fairfield Union (326), Amanda-Clearcreek (334), Circleville (341), Liberty Union 401) and Logan Elm (411). The Aces’ Caiden Riddle took home medalist honors with a 76. The Falcons’ Caden Featheroff and Circleville’s Brady Reuter were right behind with 77.
VOLLEYBALL
Bloom-Carroll 3, Heath 0: The Bulldogs opened their season with a 25-17, 25-22, 25-17 nonconference win over Heath. Kylee Reiser had 13 kills and 10 digs, Maddie Fox finished with 15 kills, Kylynne Solberger had 22 digs and Renee Smith added 34 assists.
TENNIS
Lancaster 4, Huron 1: Singles: Brinkley Conklin (L) def. Ally Murray 6-2, 6-2; Viv Worthington (L) def. Marta Glasgow 6-0, 6-0; Addison Faulkner (L) def. Ava Sullivan 6-1, 6-1. Doubles: Annie Clark-Elayna Parsley (L) def. Blaire Johnson-Sophia Crank 7-5, 6-1; Kori Boesch-Aspynn Wicker (H) def. Claire Appelfeller-Audrey Forquer 6-2, 6-1.
