New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Delhi. A 31-year-old software engineer was thrashed to death by his in-laws over a domestic dispute with his wife.

The deceased man's family has accused his wife and six to seven others of carrying out the assault. Police have arrested four people in connection with the case, Rekha, her two brothers and one sister-in-law. Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the death and the role of the accused persons.
"...She orchestrated his murder and left. Nothing had happened. Early in the morning, she called over her brothers. We were just preparing to serve them water, thinking relatives had visited. But they didn't want water; they grabbed him by the hands, choked his throat, jumped on his chest, and killed him right before my eyes within five minutes," the bereaved mother said, speaking to news agency IANS.

The deceased has been identified as Vinay Gupta. He was employed as a software engineer with Adobe in Noida and had an annual package of around Rs 60 lakh, according to his family.
His wife has been identified as Rekha. The couple had an argument on Saturday morning over giving medicine to their child. During this time, Rekha left the house after contacting her family members, who later arrived at the couple's house in Nihal Vihar. Around 10 minutes later, she returned with her two brothers, sister-in-law, father and uncle, along with other family members.
