Waletzko was waived with an injury designation, though the exact nature of his injury was not disclosed in the Chiefs' official transaction report.
Diesch joined Kansas City as a free agent just in time to suit up for the Chiefs' matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 22, but it is unclear if he will actually take the field during the highly anticipated preseason exhibition.
Take a look at the Chiefs' update on Waletzko and Diesch, which was posted to the team's official Twitter account:

Though these moves aren't expected to be massively consequential for Kansas City, Diesch's experience with the championship-winning Louisville Kings in the United Football League earlier this year might give him an edge in earning a spot on the Chiefs' practice squad when the preseason ends.
