Cardoso confirms Maseko just wants to leave Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has confirmed that attacker Thapelo Maseko just wants to leave the club.
Maseko is back at Chloorkop following his season-long loan stint with Cypriot outfit AEL Limmasol.

And while Cardoso is keen on working with him this season, Maseko has told Sundowns that he has no intention to stay.
Cardoso said there are no issues between him and and Maseko, but added that he doesn’t want to work with players who don’t want to be part of the Sundowns team.
As reported by The South African this week, Sundowns are in early talks with FC Copenhagen who want to sign Maseko.

MASEKO WANTS OUT AT SUNDOWNS, CONFIRMS CARDOSO
“Between coach Miguel Cardoso and Thapelo Maseko, there is no issues. Yesterday I had a beautiful talk with Maseko,” Cardoso told reporters.
“I was asked inside the club when we discussed the situation of Maseko, we obviously had to understand if he wants to stay with us or not. Because I don’t want to work with players who don’t want to be part of our group.
“I asked him, and I said, ‘look, my heart is open for you to be here, the team is open for you if you want to join us and stay open hearted with us.”
“Obviously, when the player says, ‘I want to go to other places’, then it becomes a club’s question, and not a coach’s question. Thapelo is a wonderful boy. We like him very much,” concluded Cardoso.
