The Miami Dolphins were back on the practice field at their Baptist Health Training Complex on Thursday, and reporters on the scene noticed that a few players were rehabbing, including tight end Ben Sims, safety Dante Trader Jr. and wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr.
Ahead of Friday's session, Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley spoke to the media and provided updates on the trio of injured players.

"I would say, he will not practice today," Hafley said of Trader. "He'll be more day-to-day. I'm hopeful we'll get him back next week. There's nothing long term with him."
Trader has been competing for a starting job as one of the lone holdovers from the 2025 roster in the safety room.
As for the tight end and wide receiver, Hafley said, "Ben will be day-to-day, and I would say Coleman will be day-to-day too. None of those guys are going to be long term. They will not be out there today."
Sims is battling for the second spot in a tight end group that's actually flashed a bit despite the lack of top-end talent. Coleman has shown something as a fifth-round rookie early in camp, which could lead to significant opportunities in 2026 if he can stay on the field.
