Two Porsches get marooned at Toronto's Woodbine Beach

A line in the sand was drawn but two Porsche drivers didn’t get the memo.

Video shared on social media shows two vehicles getting stuck at Toronto’s Woodbine Beach.
Toronto Police confirmed the Tuesday morning incident in a statement to the Sun, noting they “attended a call for two vehicles on the beach at 5:54 a.m.”
While one of the luxury cars was able to escape the sand without any issues, a tow truck had to be called for the grounded second vehicle, cops detailed.
How did the vehicles end up there?
The drivers are believed to have accessed the beach at Lake Shore Blvd. E and Woodbine Ave. by using pedestrian walkways and a narrow boardwalk.
Police, however, said that “no criminality” was involved in the incident, so no charges were laid.
There were also no reported injuries or damages — aside from any potential harm to the cars.
Reddit user conFettii took to the Toronto page to share a picture from the scene of the photoshoot fail, as it’s clear the two drivers failed to factor in that regular tires (yes, even Porsche tires), and soft sand don’t make for a good combination.
It’s unknown if they got the shots they needed when they realized their vehicles were stuck.
Beach cemetery
Fortunately, the sandy incident didn’t happen two weeks ago when Woodbine Beach was the site of a startling display of 60 makeshift tombstones .
The “Beach Cemetery” was set up by the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund to serve as a reminder to the public that Canada has one of the highest rates of new cases of melanoma in the world, and in a short time period, 60 people across the country are expected to die from the deadly skin cancer.
