The incident took place at around 6.45 am when the plaster from the roof suddenly fell inside the room, injuring the three mechanics from the operator's engineering department. They were immediately shifted to Trauma Care Hospital, Jogeshwari, where they received primary treatment. Hospital authorities later discharged all three after their condition was found to be stable.

The incident has once again raised concerns over the condition of infrastructure at bus depots used by BEST and its private wet-lease operators. While no serious injuries were reported, the mishap highlights the need for regular structural inspections and timely maintenance of staff facilities to ensure worker safety.
