Former WWE star pleads guilty after stabbing man at truck stop

Charles Scaggs, best known to professional wrestling fans as 2 Cold Scorpio and Flash Funk, has pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and armed criminal action.

SB Nation reportedthat Scaggs agreed to the charges as part of a deal that will keep him from going to trial. The site said that he is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 9.
The 60-year-old former WWE and WCW star was arrested in 2024 after he stabbed a man at a Love’s Travel Stop in Kansas City.
Wrestle Zone reported that he told police he was working as a security guard at the station when he told a man he could not light a cigarette in the building. He told police that the man threatened him and they grappled outside before he pulled out a knife and stabbed him in self-defense.
Per Wrestle Zone, Scaggs told police that did not stop the altercation and that he stabbed the man “a few more times.” The site said police said the man was transported to a hospital after they found him “bleeding from his head, chest, buttocks, legs and abdomen.” They said the man was “in and out of consciousness” while being carried to the hospital.
Scaggs was originally charged with two felonies.
Scaggs was best known as 2 Cold Scorpio in WCW and as Flash Funk in the WWE.
He was a WCW Tag Team Champion with Buff Bagwell.
Scaggs also wrestled in ECW and was a tag team champ there with The Sandman, and he was also the ECW World Television Champion four times.
