Kaizer Chiefs have completed their fifth signing of the transfer window after officially announcing the arrival of winger Langelihle Phili from Stellenbosch FC.

After weeks of speculation linking the 23-year-old with a move to Naturena, Amakhosi confirmed the deal on Monday afternoon through their official social media channels.

“Kaizer Chiefs is delighted to announce the signing of exciting and highly sought-after young winger Langelihle Phili from Stellenbosch FC,” the club posted.

“We warmly welcome Langelihle to the Gold & Black family and look forward to a positive and successful career with Amakhosi.”

Phili becomes the latest addition to a busy transfer window for the Soweto giants as head coach Fernando Da Cruz continues to reshape his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Chiefs began their recruitment drive by signing experienced centre-back Thabo Moloisane on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract with Stellenbosch FC. The defender is expected to add leadership, composure and stability to the backline.

The club then strengthened its goalkeeping department with the signing of Renaldo Leaner before announcing the arrival of midfielder Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko.

Khanyisa Mayo, who spent last season on loan from CR Belouizdad, also completed a permanent move to Naturena after impressing during his loan spell.
