“New York Needs 2 Parades” – Yankees Analyst Stays Bullish Despite Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger & Giancarlo Stanton Injuries

Several of the New York Yankees’ star sluggers are sitting out with injuries, including Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Cody Bellinger. Despite these, the team has managed to stay afloat in the AL East division, only 1.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for the lead.

MLB analyst Joe Randazzo shared what New York exactly needs at the trade deadline to get back to the World Series.

“New York needs two Parades.”

The Yankees analyst was actually referring to Houston Astros infielder Isaac Paredes, who plays third base. Randazzo was trying to imply that the Yankees need an upgrade in the infield, as they have committed many errors this season.

Randazzo also noted the bright side of the Yankees’ roster despite regular defensive shortcomings. He remarked that a good trade deadline is key to a potential deep run in October.

“The Yankees are 1.5 games out of first place with an All-Star team on the IL,” the analyst wrote. “For as frustrating as 2026 has been, there’s a real opportunity for them to win this division and, with the rotation they have, make a run in October. It’s a more resilient team than it gets credit for, and they’re dropping fly balls and pop-ups on the regular. If Brian Cashman has a solid deadline, they can set themselves apart even more from the rest of the AL, and then get back to the World Series.”

Latest Update on Yankees Stars: Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger and Giancarlo Stanton

Aaron Judge, who has a broken first rib on his right side, has yet to resume baseball activities. The Yankees continue to exercise caution, with no firm return timeline shared for Judge, who last played on May 31. A late August or early September return is expected.

As far as Cody Bellinger’s Grade 2 left hamstring is concerned, manager Aaron Boone expects Bellinger to miss four to six weeks, making a late August or early September return the most likely scenario. The Yankees have added Spencer Jones to help fill the void after putting Bellinger on the 10-day injured list.

Just like Judge, the Yankees have not announced any firm return timeline for Giancarlo Stanton, who is out due to a calf injury.

These injuries have forced New York to navigate the second half of the season without three middle-of-the-order bats. These injuries will also be in the back of the mind of the Yankees front office, who might be aggressive buyers before the Aug. 3 trade deadline.
