Broncos add familiar face to coaching staff ahead of training camp

Just before the start of training camp, the Denver Broncos have added a coach to their staff.

The Broncos brought back a familiar face, Michael Wilhoite, as a defensive assistant, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis. Wilhoite previously served as the club's outside linebackers coach from 2023-2024. He was fired during the 2025 offseason after he was arrested and accused of punching a police officer.
All charges against the outside linebackers coach have since been dismissed, but he is still facing a civil lawsuit from the officer involved in the alleged incident. News broke earlier this month about a potential return to Denver.
