Vikings' Justin Jefferson remains humble when asked about coverage

For six seasons, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been one of, if not the best, wide receivers in the NFL. It often does not matter what coverage you throw at him; he is going to find ways to get open and make an impact. The conversation around toughest opponents for receivers is always an interesting listen, and Jefferson spoke on that recently.

While appearing on ESPN's This Is Football, Jefferson was asked about which cornerback in the NFL gives him the most trouble, and Jefferson was both candid and humble:

“If I had somebody that played me true man to man all game, I can answer that question. I haven’t had a true one on one game for a long time now.”

This is the cost of business when you are the best. Jefferson usually plays against bracket defense or a safety over the top. The days of true one-on-one matchups are slipping away, which is why Jefferson feels that he doesn't have an answer. Defensive coordinators are smart to run their defense this way against him, because they know that Jefferson will win 9/10 matchups across the NFL.
