German magazine Sport Bild has confirmed reports from France suggesting that Michael Olise would like to leave Bayern Munich and join Real Madrid this summer.

A major factor behind the decision, according to the report, is Olise’s close relationship with France captain and Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé, who is said to be a “major supporter” of the 24-year-old making the move to Madrid.
The report claims that Mbappé has actively tried to convince Olise of the transfer during the World Cup, assuring him that Real Madrid need and want him while also raving about life in Madrid, the exclusive restaurants and the warm weather.
It further states that, following France’s disappointing World Cup semi-final exit against Spain, Olise’s desire to win a major trophy has increased significantly – and that he believes his chances of winning the Champions League are considerably higher at Real Madrid than at Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich, however, are reluctant to sell Olise and remain in a strong negotiating position, with the Frenchman under contract until 2029 and without a release clause.
So far, there has been no contact between Real Madrid and Bayern regarding the player. According to Sport Bild, that would only change if Olise personally informs both Bayern and Real Madrid’s hierarchy that he wants the transfer to happen.
Spanish media have suggested that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez would be willing to pay more than €200 million for Olise. Bayern supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß, however, has previously made it clear that even a fee in that region would not convince the German champions to sell their star player.
