‘Take him out of your pocket’ — Spain teammate tells Marc Cucurella that he dominated Michael Olise

One of the tough things for Bayern Munich and France fans to watch this week was Michael Olise’s struggles against Spain during a 2-0 loss in the World Cup semifinals.

In particular, Olise seemed to have a hard time dealing with Spain left-back Marc Cucurella (whose hand German football fans have come to despise from his handball — which was not called — during the EURO 2024 competition).
After Spain’s win, Cucurella’s teammate Fabián Ruiz had some descriptive words to tell Cucurella how he performed against Olise, who has been one of the best players in the world this year:

It should be noted that when the two players faced off in club play, Olise got the better of Cucurella. Instead of fan bases getting caught up in Spain feeling the moment, this should be lauded as one of the great, burgeoning rivalries of the modern game. Both players are world class and both have gotten the upper hand over the other at one point.
That is how it is supposed to work and now the real winners are the fans, who will be treated to a much anticipated showdown the next time that these two star players face off.
