Kaizer Chiefs are in a race with Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns for the signature of Polokwane City and Bafana Bafana right back Thabang Matulidi. Meanwhile, both Lilepo and Thabo Cele face uncertain futures after remaining behind in SA.
Gaston Sirino is the other player who stayed behind and he is also the most recent confirmed Amakhosi departure. So, this does not make for good reading for Lilepo or Cele.

Initially, Kaizer Chiefs were the first of the ‘Big Three’ to show interest in Polokwane City defender, Mataludi.
However, they now face stiff competition from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Additionally, reports claim that Kaizer Chiefs have already decided that he will be leaving Naturena.

Finally, Cele is the other player facing a probable departure. He is still contracted to Amakhosi. However, the club and player are both open to an agreement that could see him leave before the end of his contract.
