The FSF said Thiaw and his entire coaching staff had been relieved of their duties.

Senegal were knocked out in the last 32 of the World Cup having led 2-0, only to see the Belgians storm back to level late on and then win it 3-2 in extra time.
Former striker Thiaw had been Senegal head coach since late 2024.
He caused controversy at the African Cup of Nations final in January when he ordered his players off the field in protest at a refereeing decision.
They eventually returned and won the match on the pitch, but weeks later had the trophy awarded to Morocco because of Thiaw's actions.
Media reports say 1998 France World Cup winner Patrick Vieira is a candidate to take over.
