Nineteen players from the area were selected to the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association all-state teams Monday.

PIAA Class 1A semifinalist Berlin Brothersvalley led local selections with five honorees. Senior Elsie Barna, juniors Coral Prosser and Elena Ritchey and sophomore Samantha Walker were named to the first team. Freshman Callie Ritchey was a second-team pick.

Bishop McCort Catholic sophomore Lariah Myers and Meyersdale junior Isabella Sleasman and sophomore Keira Eberly were first-team selections. Bishop McCort sophomore Hannah Pfeil, Conemaugh Valley junior Megan Bilak and Portage freshman Reese Pinnizotto were honored on the second team.

In Class 3A, Central Cambria senior Katie Scott and junior Camryn Matlin, Ligonier Valley sophomore Elyse Witcoski and Westmont Hilltop sophomore Bella Kist were selected to the first team. Forest Hills senior Morgan Gdula, Ligonier Valley junior Marlee Miller and Westmont Hilltop senior Kelsie Muto earned spots on the second team.

Somerset senior shortstop Riley Wiencek was a Class 4A second-team pick.

Barna, a 2025 second-team selection and signed to play at NCAA Division II PennWest Edinboro, batted .500 with 42 runs, 42 hits, four doubles, one triple, nine home runs and 49 RBIs. Barna got on base at a .580 and slugged .893 this year as she finished her career with 127 hits, 126 RBIs and 22 home runs.

Prosser, a three-time all-state basketball selection, hit .439 with 36 runs, 29 knocks, five doubles, seven stolen bases and seven RBIs at shortstop. She drew 10 walks and reached base at a .513 clip and slugged .515. Prosser has 113 career runs scored and 111 hits.

Elena Ritchey, a 2024 and 2025 first-team pick, is a two-time Somerset County most valuable player. Ritchey batted .544 with 49 hits, 40 runs, eight doubles, 10 home runs and 53 RBIs after she was selected as a utility player. She slugged .967 and reached base at a .587 rate. Ritchey, a 2025 volleyball all-state selection, has 132 career RBIs, 116 hits and 32 home runs. She went 15-1 in the circle with a 1.89 earned run average and 143 strikeouts in 103 2/3 innings.

Walker batted .639 with 53 hits, 45 runs, 20 doubles, two triples, one homer, 14 stolen bases and 36 RBIs and was selected as an outfielder. She drew 16 walks and recorded a .683 on-base percentage and a .964 slugging percentage. Walker also went 9-2 with a 2.57 ERA and 60 punchouts in 51 2/3 innings.

Callie Ritchey hit .500 with 42 knocks, 26 runs, 11 doubles, three triples, two homers and 39 RBIs at third base. She recorded a .774 slugging percentage and a .542 on-base percentage.

Lariah Myers

Myers, a 2025 second-team selection, was named as a utility player. Myers hit .514 with 37 knocks, 26 runs, seven doubles, 12 home runs and 31 RBIs. She slugged 1.111 and got on base at a .573 clip. Myers posted a 2.49 ERA with 216 strikeouts in 129 1/3 innings.

Sleasman, a third baseman, batted .530 with 35 knocks, 25 runs, eight doubles, one triple, three homers and 29 RBIs. She recorded a .539 on-base percentage and a .818 slugging percentage.

Eberly, a shortstop, hit .492 with 32 runs, 31 knocks, 12 doubles, three triples, four homers, 13 stolen bases and 26 RBIs. She slugged .968 and walked 20 times to reach base at a .612 rate.

Pfeil, a shortstop, batted .507 with 36 hits, 29 runs, one double, one triple, three home runs and 14 RBIs. She slugged .676 and reached base at a .557 rate.

Bilak, a catcher and 2024 first-team and 2025 second-team pick, hit .463 with 26 runs, 25 knocks, two triples, five homers and 18 RBIs. She drew 17 walks and reached base at a .571 clip and slugged .815.

Pinizzotto, a utility selection, batted .423 with 30 hits, 20 runs, 11 doubles, three homers and 32 RBIs. She drew 15 walks and reached base at a .523 rate and slugged .704.

Hannah Pfeil, Kylie Durst, Katie Scott

Scott, a catcher, hit .532 with 25 knocks, 15 runs, six doubles, one homer and 12 RBIs. She slugged .723 and got on base at a .623 clip. Scott finished with 102 career knocks.

Matlin, an outfielder, batted .397 with 25 hits, 21 runs, five doubles, three homers and 26 RBIs. She slugged .619 and reached base at a .449 rate.

Kist, a catcher, compiled a .500 average with 33 hits, 31 runs, six doubles, one triple, 11 home runs and 39 RBIs. She slugged 1.121 and reached base at a .595 rate.

Witcoski, a catcher, hit .721 and slugged 1.049. She totaled 44 hits, 10 doubles, two triples, two homers, 21 RBIs and 37 runs.

Gdula, an outfielder, is signed to play at NCAA Division II Pitt-Johnstown. Gdula was a 2025 volleyball all-state selection. Her season statistics were not available.

Miller, a shortstop, batted .473 and slugged .564. She supplied 26 hits, five doubles, 18 runs and 23 RBIs.

Muto, an outfielder, hit .346 with 30 runs, 27 hits, 12 doubles, three triples, two homers and 19 RBIs. She drew 14 walks and reached base at a .463 clip for the District 5-6 Class 3A champions. Muto slugged .654.

Wiencek, a shortstop, is signed to play at Glenville State University, which advanced to the 2025 NCAA Division II Softball Championship. Wiencek hit .439 with 29 knocks, 29 runs, eight doubles, one triple, four homers and 33 RBIs. She slugged .772 and reached base at a .532 clip.
