LeBron James is an unrestricted free agent after he informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he won't return for his ninth season there. James' agent, Rich Paul, is hearing offers from all over the NBA, as the four-time NBA champion is looking for one final title push with a contender.
In the meantime, James is enjoying his offseason in his hometown.
On Friday, James was spotted at House Three Thirty in Akron, Ohio, his hometown. When James entered the community center room, he was welcomed with a wholesome reception. The former Cleveland Cavaliers champion also did some hook steps.

The forward's latest hometown appearance has naturally fueled speculation among the Cavaliers fans. Cleveland, where James was born and raised, has emerged as one of the frequently mentioned landing spots for him. Fans are appealing for a storybook ending that started in Akron three decades ago.
LeBron James' final destination is "strictly for his happiness"
LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul, appeared on the "Game Over" podcast with Max Kellerman, released Friday, to make it simple how the four-time NBA champion is deciding on his future. He mentioned 10 teams on the whiteboard, highlighting how rosters and team culture are influencing the decision.
But most importantly, it will be the happiness of LeBron that will finally decide where he wants to go, said Paul.
"Every day things change," Paul told ESPN. "This is the first time that LeBron James is making a decision pressure-free. He's won already. He's made good on his promise -- he won in L.A. This is strictly for his happiness. What does happiness entail? It's a number of things. It's a bucket of happiness. It's basketball, it's living, it's camaraderie, it's competition. It's everything."
LeBron James has done everything he was destined to do. He has played for three franchises in his illustrious career so far and has made good on his promise.
He delivered back-to-back titles with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013. The NBA scoring leader returned to Cleveland and, together with Kyrie Irving, erased a massive 3-1 deficit to win the 2016 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors. Finally, in just two years after coming to the West Coast, he delivered an NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.
After Paul's appearance on Kellerman's show, one thing is clear: James' landing spot is down to 10 teams. Even among them, the Heat, Cavs and 76ers are coming out as the best choices.
