Green agreed on a one-year, $3.95 contract, ESPN first reported.

Green, who turns 33 on July 23, was the only Piston to appear in all 82 regular-season games last season. The athletic wing averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and shot a career-best 38.1% from 3 (94-for-247) in 17.6 minutes per game.

The production was a welcomed surprise, after he signed on a nonguaranteed $2.87 million contract in August.

It has been a busy offseason for the Pistons, who selected Stanford freshman guard Ebuka Okorie in the 2026 NBA Draft on June 23, after trading up four spots with the Memphis Grizzlies to pick at No. 17 overall in the first round.

A day later, the Pistons traded Isaiah Stewart and his $15 million contract to the Grizzlies for the three future second-rounders they'd traded for Okorie's pick. Later that night, the Pistons purchased the No. 53 pick from the New York Knicksto draft Virginia center Ugonna Onyenso.

The Pistons have since agreed to acquire sharpshooting guard Isaiah Joe in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and will add a new starting power forward in John Collins with a sign-and-trade deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Their biggest potential move – a Jalen Duren re-signing – is at a standoff.

The Pistons finished 60-22 last season – the third-best record in franchise history and their best since 2005-06 – and fell to the Cavaliers in seven games in teh second round of the NBA playoffs, their deepest postseason run in 18 years.

Third-year president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon has said he is building around their core three – Cade Cunningham, Duren and Ausar Thompson – this summer, with a repeated emphasis on adding more shooting and ball-handling.
