The Philadelphia 76ers have made their first move of the free agency period. President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey is continuing to build the roster around the team's talented core and has reportedly agreed to a deal with Dean Wade.
The Sixers have agreed to a 4-year $39 million deal with Wade, who is familiar with Gansey due to their time together with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 7-year veteran out of Kansas State averaged 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 36.2% from deep in the 2025-26 season for the Cavs. He then shot 37.5% from deep in the playoffs while helping Cleveland reach the Eastern Conference finals.

With Wade now in the fold, one has to wonder what his role will be. He can easily slide into the starting lineup alongside Joel Embiid and Paul George up front, but one has to wonder if the Sixers can find a way to bring Kelly Oubre Jr. back, who will have many suitors during this period.
