Maxon Vig, who will be a sophomore defenseman for the 2026-27 season, will report to Montreal's camp. Vig was selected in the seventh round by the Canadiens in 2025.

Senior center and captain Oliver Peer and sophomore goaltender Max Hildebrand are both attending Winnipeg's camp. Both Peer and Hildebrand went undrafted but received camp invites.

Vig broke out in the second half of his rookie season with the Beavers. He had six goals and one assist in 36 games as a freshman two-way defenseman. The 6-foot-3, 207-pound left-shot defenseman out of Bismarck, North Dakota, skated in Montreal's camp last July after he was selected with the 209th pick in the 2025 draft.

Peer had one of the best offensive seasons among CCHA players a year ago, recording 20 goals and 16 assists in 34 games. The top-line center is moving into his second season of NCAA hockey after transferring from the University of New Brunswick in USports last summer.

Peer skated in the Pittsburgh Penguins development camp while playing for the Windsor Spitfires in the Ontario Hockey League.

Hildebrand got the lion's share of games for BSU in the second half of the 2025-26 season. In total, he played in 24 games and recorded a .895 save percentage with a 2.71 goals-against average.

Hildebrand, who will also be a sophomore this fall, was named the Western Hockey League's goaltender of the year in 2024-25 with the Prince Albert Raiders. He skated in the Los Angeles Kings' camp last summer.
