The game will be played at the Ford Center and the 4-star SMU commitment told The Times that he will be there.
“I’m extremely honored to have been selected for the Military Bowl,” Zeigler said. “I have countless family members who have served in the nation’s military, so to be able to play with that emblem on my chest means the world. I do plan on playing in the game. I’m looking at it as another chance to compete against high level competition before I step on campus in January.
The week-long celebration features elite youth and high school football showcases, national combines and all-star games.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Zeigler completed 172 of 300 passes last season for 2,648 yards and 23 TDs against 8 interceptions. He also rushed for 489 yards and 7 more scores, averaging 6.52 yards per carry.
He also has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor and Florida State among others. He said he plans to sign in December and enroll in college in January.
Zeigler is also a two-time elite member of the Shreveport Times All-Metro Track and Field team. His Javelin toss of 197-3 this spring was more than 30 feet further than anyone else in Caddo and Bossier parishes.
