According to AS, Barcelona are hoping to complete at least one significant player departure before June 30 as the club looks to strengthen its financial position ahead of the close of the current accounting year.
While club executives do not view a sale as essential, securing additional revenue before the books are finalised would further improve an already positive financial outlook and provide greater flexibility heading into the summer transfer window.
Ansu Fati’s exit the closest
The player most likely to leave before the deadline is Ansu Fati. Monaco decided some time ago to activate the €11 million purchase option included in last summer’s loan agreement, and negotiations are now focused on the player’s personal terms with the Ligue 1 club.
The two sides are close to agreeing a four-year contract, with only minor details remaining before the transfer is officially announced.
Barcelona are optimistic that the deal will be finalised in time for the transfer fee to be included in the current financial year.

Beyond the transfer income itself, Ansu’s departure would also remove one of the club’s highest salaries from the wage bill, creating additional room within La Liga’s Fair Play regulations ahead of future signings.
Ter Stegen loan also progressing
Ansu’s move is not the only outgoing transfer Barcelona are working on. The club is also advancing negotiations over a season-long loan for Marc-Andre ter Stegen to Ajax.
The Dutch side are expected to cover a significant portion of the goalkeeper’s salary, considerably more than Girona were willing to contribute last season.
Although the arrangement would not generate a transfer fee, reducing Barcelona’s wage expenditure would provide valuable salary cap relief for the coming season.
Business already completed
Barcelona have already secured several pieces of transfer income this summer. Inaki Pena has completed his permanent move to Panathinaikos in a deal worth approximately €3 million.

The club will also receive just over €1 million in training compensation following Marc Cucurella’s transfer to Real Madrid, while Sergi Altimira’s move to Sporting CP is expected to generate around €400,000.
Although none of those deals dramatically transform the club’s finances, each contributes to Barcelona’s strategy of improving both liquidity and salary cap flexibility.
Other departures will take longer
Several other potential exits remain under discussion but are unlikely to be completed before June 30.
Roony Bardghji and Marc Casado continue to attract interest from clubs across Europe, but negotiations are expected to continue well into July as Barcelona seek the best possible sporting and financial solutions.
Even so, there is still some flexibility regarding accounting deadlines.
If an agreement has been substantially completed before the end of June, accounting regulations may still allow Barcelona to record the transaction in the current financial year, even if the final paperwork is signed a few days later.
For now, however, Ansu Fati remains the player most likely to provide Barcelona with the financial boost the club would welcome before closing its books for the season.
