Former Tulsa star Ray Coney ranks as the 10th highest-rated right-outside linebacker in this year's video game. The 6-foot-2, 240-pounder was an American All-Conference First Team and Phil Steele's American Conference First Team selection in 2025 for the Golden Hurricanes. He posted 129 total tackles, including 7.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble and two pass breakups in his junior campaign with Tulsa.
Coney brings "Coney Island" to Bryan-College Station and Kyle Field for his senior year, as he looks to be an anchor for Mike Elko's gritty defensive unit in 2026.

According to Campbell's preseason linebacker ratings, Coney is the third-best athlete at the position in the state of Texas, behind Ben Roberts (Texas Tech) and Rasheem Biles (Texas). He was also ranked as the second-highest graded linebacker transfer in the offseason, according to Pro Football Focus.
His elite vision, physicality, and quickness for his size have garnered considerable attention as he enters his first year with the Aggies. After the departures of Scooby Williams and Taurean York, it was integral for Elko to find a talented linebacker to replace the production from last year's duo. Adding Coney to Texas A&M's defensive unit was one of the most key additions of the offseason, as Elko looks to lead his team back to the College Football Playoff for the second consecutive year.
For Aggie fans wanting to use Coney to make hit-stick tackles and halt opposing offenses in their tracks in EA Sports College Football 27, the game will be released on Xbox and PlayStation on July 9.
