The challenge comes just days after Bonsam claimed he would stop England captain Harry Kane from influencing Ghana’s World Cup clash with the Three Lions.
Kane failed to score as Ghana held England to a goalless draw, prompting some fans to revisit the witchdoctor’s pre-match comments.
D Real Kombo issues challenge to the witchdoctor
Reacting to the result, D Real Kombo, whose real name is Obi Nduka Kevin, questioned whether Bonsam’s alleged powers could have a bigger impact on Ghana’s World Cup campaign.
“Nana Kwaku Bonsam, show us your powers. Make Ghana reach the semi-finals,” he said in a video shared on social media.
Kombo argued that if the witchdoctor was capable of preventing one of the world’s best strikers from scoring, he should also be able to help Ghana achieve an historic run at the tournament.
“If he really made Harry Kane fail to score, then he should have the powers to take Ghana to the semi-finals,” he said.
‘I’ll call him my pastor’
The football personality went a step further by promising to publicly acknowledge Bonsam if Ghana reaches the last four of the tournament.
“I want to see his powers. If Ghana reach the semi-finals, I will call Nana Kwaku Bonsam my new pastor,” Kombo joked.
His remarks quickly attracted reactions online, with some supporters amused by the challenge while others debated whether the witchdoctor’s claims should be taken seriously.

AFCON failure raised as counter-argument
Kombo also questioned why Ghana had not benefited from Bonsam’s alleged powers in previous competitions.
He pointed to the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations as evidence that football results cannot be attributed to spiritual intervention.
“When did he start having powers to influence football?” Kombo asked.
“Ghana failed to qualify for AFCON, so where were these powers then?”
Witchdoctor’s Kane claim goes viral
Before Ghana’s World Cup meeting with England, Bonsam told British media that he was “working on” Kane and wanted to limit the striker’s impact against the Black Stars.
The self-proclaimed spiritualist previously made headlines during the 2014 World Cup when he claimed responsibility for an injury suffered by Cristiano Ronaldo before Portugal faced Ghana.
Whether coincidence or not, Kane was unable to find the net as Ghana earned a valuable point in a 0-0 draw against England, ensuring Bonsam’s comments remained a talking point long after the final whistle.
