Nebraska pitchers Carson Jasa and Ty Horn invited to MLB draft combine

Two Nebraska pitchers will have a chance to impress professional scouts at an exclusive event later this month. Carson Jasa and Ty Horn will participate in the 2026 MLB Draft Combine in Arizona.
There will be 334 draft-eligible players participating in the exclusive showcase at Chase Field in Phoenix. The event splits the attendees with 194 collegiate players and 140 high school athletes.

Jasa is Nebraska's highest ranked prospect heading into the draft. He ranks No. 171 according to MLB.com. The right-handed pitcher went 10-2 with a 3.59 ERA and 117 strikeouts across 87.2 innings while holding opponents to a .210 batting average.
The Thornton, Colorado native was named a third-team All-American by ABCA/Rawlings and first-team All-Big Ten. Jasa is the sixth All-American under head coach Will Bolt.
Ty Horn appeared in 22 games this past season with 12 starts. He went 3-3 with a 4.03 ERA and one save. He finished second on the team with 87 strikeouts in 82.2 innings.
Live coverage of the three-day event will exclusively run on MLB Network from June 23-25. The 2026 Major League Baseball draft will take place July 11-12, 2026 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
