With each passing day, it feels like the Celtics are inching ahead in the sweepstakes to acquire Giannis, primarily due to their ability to offer a highly competitive trade package without dismantling the roster in the process. In fact, should Giannis land in Boston, he will be joining a team that boasts both Jayson Tatum and Derrick White, two of the team's most important players in recent years.
Therefore, debates as to whether Giannis is indeed heading to Boston have begun to run rampant. During a recent episode of WEEI's "Jones and Keefe" show, the hosts admitted that it's starting to feel like a foregone conclusion that Giannis will wind up in Boston in the near future. Of course, any move for the one-time NBA champion would likely mean locating a third team to re-route Brown to, as Milwaukee will undoubtedly be looking to begin a roster rebuild.
