Random Ramsdom: A.J. Brown saga finally ends (for now)
· Yahoo Sports
As of last week, A.J. Brown is officially a member of the New England Patriots, but there was a time where it looked like the Los Angeles Rams could seriously make a move or a trade for Brown. It didn’t happen as the Rams instead went the direction of Myles Garrett while more or less keeping their offense similar to last year’s unit, for now.

It will be interesting to see what other moves this team has in store, but it’s hard to imagine any move being made that would be as massive as their trade of Myles Garrett. Aaron Donald coming out of retirement would perhaps be the biggest news of the offseason, but that’s a big IF.
At this point, hope the team can stay healthy as they get ready for what could be a fantastic season for L.A. We’ll see.
It’s Monday, for a better or worse, we’ve got the whole week ahead. Please leave comments if you would as we appreciate them and thank you for checking out Turf Show Times!
Why Patriots’ didn’t share Rams’ concerns about trading for A.J. Brown (yardbarker.com)
“The Patriots never lost interest,” Breer added, “with a dozen people who were with Vrabel in Tennessee vouching for Brown, and character crosschecks Pats people were doing with folks who’d been with Brown in Philly checked out, too. What stood out about Brown, even with all the drama he was tied to, was how he was described as a competitor, an alpha and a football junkie.”
Rams have left Ty Simpson all alone to shoulder daunting burden (ramblinfan)
“How many members of the current roster did the team select in Round 1 of an NFL draft? If you named anyone other than Simpson, the No. 13 pick in 2026, you would be wrong.
After LA flipped budding star Jared Verse, a former 19th overall pick, to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for Myles Garrett, Simpson became the lone Rams first-rounder in the building.
Unfortunately, not only did Simpson get a less-than-lukewarm reception, he now must endure the pressure of being the only player on the roster who heard his name called on Day 1 of the draft. That’s a heavy weight on his shoulders.“
Myles Garrett reflects on being ‘big Kobe fan,’ Bryant’s influence on him (ramswire)
“Big Kobe fan. I used to wear the short fro just like Kobe,” Garrett said. “You know, that love has been there ever since. I had a lot of respect for it, the way he goes about his business. Obviously, Mamba Mentality. But just the way he treated every single game, every single second he was out there, he never took it for granted. I’ve kind of treated my career and life the same way.”
