Farmer will earn a base salary of $885,000 for the 2026 season, and that figure will increase each season, maxing out at $1.280 million in 2029, the final year of his deal.

The aforementioned signing bonus will be prorated for salary cap purposes over the life of the contract, accounting for $297,676 against the cap each season.

Jalen Farmer's salary cap hits by season with Colts

  • 2026: $1.182M
  • 2027: $1.347M
  • 2028: $1l462M
  • 2029: $1.577M

With Farmer's length and quick twitch, the Colts view him as someone who can step in at right tackle if needed. However, guard is where he most likely finds a home in the NFL.

With Quenton Nelson on the left side and Matt Goncalves at right guard, there isn't a clear role for Farmer to step into right away. That said, he could end up pushing Goncalves this summer for those starting snaps on the right side of the line.
