Tuesday night is going to be a day London never forgets as he has locked up generational money. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Atlanta Falcons have extended wide receiver Drake London to a four-year contract. ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed the news and added that it is a four-year, $141 million extension that is worth up to $150 million with $100 million guaranteed. This makes London the third-highest-paid wide receiver in the league behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Ja’Marr Chase. His $32.25 million in average annual value is the largest in franchise history.

London has been an exceptional wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons over his first four years. He has played in 62 games (60 starts) and has 309 receptions on 497 targets for 3,961 yards (12.8 yards per catch) with 22 touchdowns. London now is in a new offensive system and has a quarterback battle going on between Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa, but he has always been a player who excels no matter who is throwing him the football.

Now, the question turns to running back Bijan Robinson and finding a solution for tight end Kyle Pitts, as their contracts are also coming due. It will be intriguing to see how the Atlanta Falcons decide to handle their skill position players.
