There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the event, which will celebrate its 28th year in 2026. It brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition, skill work and training, which culminates with a 7-on-7 skills showcase on Sunday.

Friday night featured a circuit of drill stations, followed by a ‘rail shot’ throwing challenge. Saturday night brings the Pro Day, where each quarterback will go through a scripted workout that mirrors what you’d see at the NFL Combine. Throwers will also compete in an accuracy challenge at the other end of the field.

Each of the 20 passers landed invites to the finals after competing in one of the event’s seven regional feeder camps that occurred throughout the spring.

Trae Taylor claimed Rivals MVP honors on Day 1

05/30/2026 03:59:51 PM

There was a clear-cut top performer on Friday night as Nebraska four-star commit Trae Taylor turned heads from the first station through the rail shot challenge. He was named Rivals MVP by Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power:

“Taylor was in rhythm, throwing with velocity and quality accuracy throughout the night. We were impressed with his quick, whippy release,” Power wrote. “He gets the ball out of his hand in a flash and was able to drive the ball to all areas of the field. Taylor plays with a high level of confidence and assertiveness in this setting, while it took others some time to acclimate to the drills.”

Taylor, who’s transferring to Millard South (Neb.) for his senior season this fall, is currently the No. 63 overall prospect and No. 6 QB in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s been committed to the Huskers since May 1, 2025.
