Since 2016, members invested their savings into the project, believing they were joining a collaborative, self-governing community where they could build a permanent future.

However, several members now allege that a small group of directors has taken control of the co-operative, manipulating internal processes and running it as a private fiefdom.

Some claim they have been expelled from the community and stripped of their shares without compensation, sparking a bitter dispute that has divided neighbours and left residents fighting for their livelihoods and place in the community.
