Fernandez-Pardo, whose natural position is on the left of the attack, although he also played through the middle towards the end of the season, recently declared for the Belgium national team and will go to the FIFA World Cup with the Red Devils.
Even before the World Cup, interest in the forward is growing. Como, who next season will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, are in the race. Their priority is Stade Rennais’ Esteban Lepaul, however, there is competition from Benfica and Atletico Madrid. On top of that, the €30m price tag is dissuasive and the player himself has committed to remaining at Rennes for next season.
Fernandez-Pardo is another option, but once again, competition is fierce. Manchester City and Manchester United are both fans of the Belgian, La Gazzetta dello Sport understands. Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona are also in the race.
