When it comes to college baseball pedigree, it's tough to beat the lineup for the NCAA tournament's Chapel Hill regional this year.

Host North Carolina is the No. 5 national seed and has 12 College World Series appearances to its credit while still seeking its first national title. Tennessee won it all in Omaha two years ago and has been to the CWS three of the last five seasons. East Carolina is an NCAA fixture, making the regionals for the 10th time in the last 11 tournaments.

Those three programs have strong followings and should guarantee a raucous atmosphere in Chapel Hill this weekend as they fight it out for a berth in the super regionals along with VCU.

The Tar Heels enter as the favorite, ranked in the top five nationally much of the season thanks in large part to their pitching staff, which ranks 10th in the country with a 3.92 ERA. While their arms keep them in the game, they have plenty of offense, too — look no further than their 13-run, 22-hit outburst against Pitt in last week's ACC semifinals.

The home team will have plenty of competition, though, with the Vols the most likely to pull the upset. While Tennessee is down a bit from its championship team of a couple years ago and finished 15-15 in SEC play during the regular season, the Vols still bring plenty of talent to the table.

While NCAA regionals are always unpredictable, this figures to be one of the best in 2026. Here's when and where to watch every game.
