In a moving display of emotion and fortitude, Kyle Busch's family was present at Charlotte Motor Speedway for a pre-race tribute before the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The group included Busch's wife Samantha, son Brexton and daughter Lennix, as well as Kyle Busch's parents and brother Kurt Busch. Richard Childress, whom Busch drove for the past three seasons, stood next to Busch's family. Teams and drivers stood behind the family to lend strength and support.

NASCAR CEO Steve O'Donnell spoke to Busch's family and the crowd at the track before a moment of silence honoring Busch's memory, leading into a playing of "Amazing Grace" on bagpipes.
Kyle Busch died May 21 from severe pneumonia and sepsis after being hospitalized a day earlier. The sport has been honoring Busch all weekend, including No. 8 decals on every car and a painted tribute in the infield grass at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
