NASHUA - Max Demers struck out 14 over six innings and combined with Jacoby Caissie on a three-hit shutout to lead the Nashua South High School baseball team to a 6-0 win over Portsmouth on Saturday in a Division I contest.

Nashua South, which improved to 8-8 on the season, scored five runs in the final three innings to break open the game. Portsmouth is now 5-11.
Hugh Herter, Jackson Hooper and Jake Poulin each had a hit for the Clippers. Portsmouth starter Cam Stacy allowed five hits over four innings, striking out one. Jack Moreau pitched a scoreless inning of relief for Portsmouth.

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Cheverus scored the game's only run of this Class A South contest in the 11th inning. Marshwood is now 2-10 on the season.
Marshwood junior Michael Sbrizza allowed four hits over the first 9.1 innings, striking out four and not issuing a walk.
Sbrizza also had two of Marshwood's six hits, while Ryder Webber also had two and Gavin Villineau and Dominic Galuppo both had one.
