Seaver King drove in four runs and Abimelec Ortiz hit a two-run home run to lead the Red Wings, who have now won 13 of their last 14 games and remain in first place in their division.

The game was scoreless through three innings before Rochester broke through in the fourth. Yohandy Morales singled and Ortiz followed with a two-run homer to center for a 2-0 lead. King added to the cushion in the fifth, ripping a run-scoring double to center after an Andrew Pinckney walk to make it 3-0.

Rochester appeared to blow the game open in the sixth. Brady House singled and stole second, and after a pitching change, Joey Wiemer walked and Pinckney was hit by a pitch to load the bases with two outs. King then laced a three-run double to right for a 6-0 advantage.

Worcester chipped away immediately in the bottom half, taking advantage of a leadoff error and a walk before Vinny Capra's two-out, two-run single to left trimmed the deficit to 6-2. Rochester answered in the seventh when Franklin walked, moved up on a wild pitch and scored on Ortiz's RBI groundout, restoring a five-run lead at 7-2.

The WooSox kept coming, loading the bases in the seventh on a Jason Delay single, Nathan Hickey walk and Nate Eaton infield single. Mikey Romero lofted a sacrifice fly to right to bring in Delay, and after a passed ball moved two more runners into scoring position, Kristian Campbell's RBI single to short pulled Worcester within 7-4. An inning later, Matt Lloyd's single and Hickey's walk set up Max Ferguson's RBI single to center, cutting it to 7-5 and bringing the tying run to the plate.

Rochester's bullpen held on. After a scoreless top of the ninth, Worcester again put the tying runs in scoring position on a Campbell ground-rule double, a walk to Anthony Seigler and a wild pitch that moved both up, but a strikeout of Capra and a groundout by Lloyd ended the threat and sealed the Red Wings' eighth straight win.
