“We are closely monitoring ongoing situation and remain in contact with local officials. At this time, there are no changes to tonight’s scheduled game against the Rangers,” the team said in a statement, via Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.

Garden Grove is just southwest of Angel Stadium in Anaheim. The game is currently set to take place at 7 p.m. PT.

Earlier on Saturday, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency over the leak, which has led to an evacuation order that affects 50,000 local residents. Per the state, a chemical storage tank at GKN Aerospace began emitting toxic fumes on Thursday, and local first responders in Orange County have been unable to mitigate the issue.

The tank contained methyl methacrylate, a volatile and flammable liquid; the ongoing situation leaves the area at risk of a potential explosion.

Saturday’s game against the Rangers is the second in a three-game series against the AL West rivals, with the series finale set to take place on Sunday.
