Aaron Rodgers may be 42 years old, but he's still better than most quarterbacks in the NFL.
He proved that last year, when he led the Pittsburgh Steelers to 10 wins and the AFC North crown. Despite having a subpar offense around him, Rodgers still completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns and only seven interceptions.
And yet, nobody seriously pursued him this offseason, outside of the Steelers. It was the same last year, when he had to wait until June to sign with Pittsburgh despite having a pretty good 2024 with the New York Jets.
On Thursday's episode of "The Herd," Colin Cowherd explained why he thinks Rodgers is underrated at this stage of his career.

"I always thought he was a little overvalued in his prime... But now I think Aaron's actually massively undervalued," Cowherd said. "I want to remind everybody... He did win the AFC North last year... By the way, at 41, he almost threw as many touchdown passes as Bo Nix, Josh Allen and Sam Darnold, with an awful receiving corps."
The stats support Cowherd's claim that Rodgers did more with less last year.
"In fact, Aaron was the only quarterback in the league with this stat line: at least 65 percent completion percentage, at least 24 touchdowns and seven or fewer interceptions. He was the only guy in the league," Cowherd continued. "Bad receiving corps, broken offensive culture, hit and miss offensive line, and an average running back room."
Cowherd added that the Steelers didn't have a single wide receiver or tight end in PFF's top 50 pass catches last season, proving how poor Rodgers' weapons were.
Rodgers' supporting cast should be better this year with Michael Pittman Jr. to throw to along with D.K. Metcalf, giving him another legit receiver to target. Reuniting with an offensive-minded head coach in Mike McCarthy should help as well, so don't be surprised if Rodgers exceeds expectations and has another strong season.
